Sunday, January 19, 2020 - Bottle with screwcork. Straw yellow, still with some "bubbles" from remaining CO2. Intense nose of green apples, citrus, and a hint of slate/petroleum. Medium to full bodied, dominated by primary citrus tones in the mouth, combined with a slight "pricking" of CO2. Long and concentrated aftertaste dominated by green apples, almost like setting your teeth into a green apple. Lively finish with a slight bitterness. Still an infant, and a bit monotone at the moment. May deserve a better score in the future. Need to age some years, but how will that proceed given the screwcork? My experience with screwcorks are that the wines almost stand still, and even after a decade taste like when they were young. Any experience with this out there?
