Wednesday, May 30, 2018 - Jailbreak Brewery restaurant opening SQN wine dinner with Justin Bonner (Jailbreak Brewery, Laurel, MD): As always, unbelievably big and concentrated wine. Explosive nose displaying intense black fruit, crushed blackberry, crème de cassis, dry cranberry, fruitcake, ink, licorice, liquid smoke, incense, lavender, dark spices and earth. Incredible concentration, layers upon layers of intense sweet black fruit, unctuous and dense yet quite silky, bright acidity, strong mineral presence and unending finish. The scale is mindboggling. It remains very youthful and will drink well for a few more decades. Quintessential SQN.
