Sunday, February 28, 2016 - Noticeably clear to the eye in comparison to previous vintages. Nice light fresh nose showing forward fruit and a nice charcoal like character. Light bodied palate with a touch of tannin and a fresh feel. There is clearly very low fruit concentration here showing the vintage pedigree such as it is. So light is this that it is actually lighter than their lowest level bottling, Cuvee Terroir, normally is. Considering the vintage this is would be a decent dinner companion for $10. But I am shocked they didn't declassify the fruit further and pass on the bottling for the year. They obviously did lots of selection to get a palatable wine but it pales in comparison to previous vintages in a big way.
