Tuesday, July 13, 2021 - light straw colored and medium bodied with acidity on the lower end of the spectrum. the wine has a very creamy mouthfeel and has aged quite nicely. the effects of the new oak are somewhat muted but definitely there. i get vanilla, pear, and some hints of tropical fruit on the palate. the wine drank better an hour into the bottle as the fruit started to come forward a bit. a nice wine to drink on its own but not sure what food i would pair it with..............nice balance and an elegant if not decadent style. California!
