Monday, June 10, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Incredibly hedonistic yet perfectly balanced nose displaying concentrated black fruit, crushed blackberry, blackberry liqueur, black cherry, licorice, rose and acacia, sweet spices and crushed rocks. Unbelievably sensual palate, layers upon layers of opulent pure black fruit, silky and weightless, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a seamless perfectly ripe black fruit driven finish with mineral and Chambolle perfume at the end. Clearly expressing the ripe vintage and the perfumed terroir. Although very primary, It is a stunningly beautiful wine that is drinking incredibly well. However, It can easily improve for another two decades or more.
