Wednesday, March 27, 2024 - I shared this with my wine group at a Mediterranean restaurant. We had this alongside a Cotes du Rhone Syrah. Personally I preferred this, maybe because it was more new world than the French wine. It reminded me of some of Turley's more restrained Zins from the the early 2000s. Lots of extraction, it was full bodied, dark colored, with a long finish. I'm guessing it had a fair amount of new oak as well.
