Friday, November 27, 2015 - Advanced, but not more so than one would expect from an '88. The last few 88s from Tuscany that I've had underscore that at age 27, only the best-stored bottles are still drinking well. This one appears to have been well-stored, but was fully mature, maybe a bit past peak. Light plum color, more sous bois than fruit, enough structure to give it a good finish. No reason to hold any further if you own this.
