85 Points

Wednesday, August 2, 2017 - A medium ruby in the glass with long legs, the nose features tart cherry, rhubarb, some green meanies, musk and...yeah...vanilla. Initially very watery on the palate (though that may have had something to do with the leftover semillon in my glass), but a bit of air straightened this right up. Medium- body, decent intensity, light concentration. The fruits here toy with being candied, no tannins in sight. Not bad for the price point, but would probably get trounced by Bogle's equivalent, or Mirassou or Mark West Black Label. If you're jonesing for pinot noir flavor at the lower price point, do try this.
