Wednesday, November 29, 2023 - Opened but not decanted. This had been opened about an hour prior to dinner. It could have used a decant for sediment purposes as this was throwing quite a bit of fine sediment near the end of the bottle. Inky dark color in the glass with no visible sign of being almost ten years old. Dark fruits and mocha (think chocolate milkshake) on the nose. Similar palate with excellent balance, nicely integrated fine tannins and a long finish. No hurry here. 94+
