Monday, February 20, 2017 - Quick 30 minute decant. Nice purplish hue with translucent rim. Big nose of sweet vanilla, oak, lavender and plum. Very fruit forward and sweet (almost like honey). Full bodied. There is some acidity to keep it from being too jammy but damn little in the way of tannins. I can see why this would be a controversial wine with wildly variable ratings. I can also see where it would be a very popular party wine. For me, its a nice flavorful wine. Nothing to get too serious about but certainly not bad. Decent QPR. 90+

2nd day notes: finishes with a little bit of all spice and Ludens' cherry cough drop taste. Somewhat sweeter (yes, sweeter) than first day. No change in overall rating.
