Saturday, March 4, 2000 - Saturday, March 04, 2000 Deep straw color with nose of pear, smoke and honey. On the tongue this wine is loaded with pear, apricot (lots of apricot) smoke, honey and a little mineral. Did I mention apricot? A wonderful wine with food. Too much apricot to say that the fruit was fading, but it is not likely to improve with age. A great bottle. Accompanied seared sea scallops in dried tomato, bacon and cream sauce over angel hair pasta with Deneen by the fire. 3/4/00
