Saturday, April 20, 2024 - At 12 years this is really starting to come into its own. On opening it's still quite tannic and I was a bit worried that the alcohol wasn't well integrated, but an hour in the decanter smoothed the rough edges and brought out the tobacco and stone fruit. Paired amazingly with filet mignon with blue cheese sauce. I'll try to wait another few years before opening the next one, I would love to see what this is like at 20.
