Sunday, November 30, 2008 - Brought this bottle to Bleu Provence in Naples. shared it with Clement the sommelier. He was great by both complimenting the wine and pointing out that he prefers more mineraliaty. He felt the oak and butter were too strong. A famous French reaction to a California white, right? Anyhow it was great to taste it with him because we had always considered this a much less buttery wine (we are used to the Napa Chardonnays so a Fume Blanc is toned down for us.) By the way, the wine list at Bleu Provence is stunning... about eight different versions of just Domaine Serene Pinot Noir. Three different Turley... and this is a French Restaurant. Thousands of bottles. We won't bring a wine next time. Clemente can pick us one. John our waiter was excellent too.
