Sunday, November 11, 2018 - Another excellent showing by this 1982 Brane! This bottle was in a flight alongside '82 Leovile Barton, '82 Calon Segur, and 1988 Certan de May. The two standouts were this '82 Brane and the '88 CdM, with opinions split on which was better. The Brane had a little brett that added a lot of interest to the wine (lower level than Montrose, but distinctly present). The fruit was perfectly ripe and the age has brought on some sweet maturity. Pretty close to fully resolved - I think this will stay at peak for awhile.
