Friday, June 16, 2023 - Pours a gorgeous color. After half an hour in the decanter, the wine offers classic claret aromas of old basement, must, leather bag, mint, Fuji apple, and a hint of brown sugar. The palate is spectacular for a ‘75 (and I promise I don’t say this about every old wine—a lot of these bottles are from the same well-kept cellar). Some surprising fruitiness still. A great mouthfeel with reserved acidity.
