Sunday, September 6, 2020 - this made an admirable match to sage and prosciutto wrapped filet steak and cream, potato, bacon bake...all plums, leather, sweet spice, a little cherry, a little herbaceous note and a touch of cellar stink. More softly fleshy than acidic - probably just the right side of freshness but right on the border for me, the plums are sweet and ripe. Tannins are soft, alcohol warmth is non-intrusive, breadth of palate and mouthfeel are present here. Kind of nice.
