While this smelled and felt off initially, with hours of slow oxygenation and especially a day in the fridge it uncoils, showing the power and depth I recall from several years ago. Very mediterranean nose of warm spices enlivening ever-sweetening fruit. The sweetness really carries through to the flavors, which present themselves with importance if not much elegance. But this is a wine of the South first and foremost, and a fantastic one at that.
