Sunday, March 24, 2019 - At sub-$30 in the U.S., this is a QPR star! CHABLIS28's two recent notes: Yes and yes! This wine has the sturdy frame to carry the concentration and sneaky ripeness layered into it. Stealth Meursault? I think so. Really compelling, keeps you coming back for another sip. Does it hold that richness-balanced-on-a-string / how-do-they-do-that profile completely? No, though it has a wonderful, lingering finish, it is not noticeably rich in the middle, showing more minerality and some flintiness briefly that reminds more of Chablis to me. But that's no complaint. The whole package is very nice. Most good Bourgogne Blancs are two steps down from this.

[Had 2/3 of a bottle on the weekend, pouring 1/3 into a bottle that is perfectly sized to it, with little air. Decided to have some Thursday night wine and opened that up, gave it some time to first lose its refrigerator chill and... it was still beautiful.]
