Friday, January 12, 2024 - Opened at Caprice in HK for the Jean Trimbach x Egon Muller Celebration Dinner by the winemakers themselves. Slow-oxed since 3pm and poured at around 8pm.

This bottle was very consistent with my other experiences with the SHB Kabinett. Slight sweetness for balance but the main notes coming through were distinctive Riesling petrol. Great finish and wonderful minerality that really helps set this wine apart from other Kabinetts around.

Compared next to the Alte Reben Kabinett 2015 in the same flight, this was a little more fresh but both were performing excellently and exactly as they should. Can age, but also in a great spot right now.
