Friday, February 23, 2018 - Really pleasant wine. Nose was relatively light when I first opened the bottle, with bright red fruits, with some meaty notes on the back end. Surprisingly light, with silky tannins and a definitely meaty finish.

After being decanted for about an hour and a half, it picked up a ton of body. The nose added a hint of baking spices, but the bg change was on the palate: picked up dark, rich cherries with some cocoa powder as well. It became very full bodied with smooth velvety tannins. The meaty element was relegated to the finish, which went on for a solid 30 seconds.

Good stuff.
