Saturday, March 3, 2018 - Pale gold in colour, with a hint of green on the margins. The nose is inviting, with ripe stone fruit and cream. The palate is exceptionally rich with a slight oiliness to the mouthfeel. The mid-palate complexity is quite exquisite, something to really savour. The flavours are dominated by pie crust, caramel-cream, baking spice and candied pineapple, underpinned by a fine quartz minerality. There is an ethereal smokiness on the finish that lingers and lingers. A deeply satisfying wine.
