Saturday, July 23, 2022 - Wines in Whanganui: Rusty copper colour. Fine bead. Vibrant but mineral nose of raspberries, red cherries, lemon citrus and river gravels. Limited toasty autolysis. In the mouth, fresh and persistent, very 2008. Blood orange, grapefruit, raspberries, dried apricots and river gravel. Secondary, savoury notes just beginning to develop. Fine and taut. Below mid weight but not lacking in depth and concentration. Lengthy dry finish. Drinking at its best until about 2032. 93+.
