Friday, September 2, 2016 - An equal blend of Syrah and Carignan from a clay-chalk plateau near the Étang de Thau, 100% destemmed, direct press, 12% ABV, 160,000 bottles produced. Pale salmon colour; interesting nose with a subtle fruit expression (redcurrant, strawberry, hint of melon), fresh and mineral, hints of pepper and flowers and a certain salinity; the palate is dry and fresh, with an adequate stuffing of juicy fruit, light but pleasant flavours; herbal finish, good length. Excellent QPR.
