Saturday, April 22, 2017 - Tasted with Domaine Serene Two Barns '14 over 2 nights. Strong barnyard/earth bouquet on pnp. Shy flavor but with cherry and some loam, but plush at the same time. Opens with time to broad cherry flavor and finish, with some spice and more force. After 1.5 hours, delicious, with cherry and spice and background sweet wood flavors.
2nd evening - subdued blue fruit nose, very shy and not complex at 1st sip. After 90 minutes, more robust. Cherry is all but gone but still fruit--ripe blackberry? Tasty, with a medium long finish. Wonderful to drink now with air, will likely last at least a few more years in the cellar.
