Saturday, July 23, 2022 - An initial reduction here? Then lifted notes of mineral, red plum and raspberry with notes of balsamic and bay leaf, cigarette ash (evergreen leaves?) and a light vanilla streak. Light to medium-bodied, the wine is slightly held back but shows a lively acid, soft sandy tannins, and medium length.
There are liquorice and tobacco leaf flavours, some musty old oak at times and relatively lightweight. Elegant but relatively simple fare.
