Sunday, June 25, 2017 - Ruby color. Smells like bing cherry, tart red fruits, tobacco, concrete, hay. Medium body that builds with air. Flavors of cranberry, cherry, orange zest, and a dry wood, almost mesquite-like flavor. The tannin is still notable here, but it lends the wine a classic character.

Agreed that this wine could cellar for another 5+ years. But it's a lot of fun to drink now--just decant for at least an hour.
