Tuesday, April 23, 2019 - Pitch-perfect old-school Rioja expression, with tons of leathery, earthy, and tobacco/ash aromas and dusty sour cherry and dill flavors. Bolder, darker fruit expression than in most vintages of Lopez, but no loss of acidity or focus with the denser fruit profile. Excellent now, but with ample stuffing for the long haul. Muy bueno.
