Sunday, August 2, 2020 - Still quit dark, dense garnet colour. On initial opening, a good blast of funk, barnyard and old flower vase and darker fruits. It took a while for the funkiness to blow off, to reveal a core of dark dense fruits (more stewed and preserved than fresh).

This is still a baby, we kept half the bottle in the decanter, and on day three it is still coiled up (in common with many wines of the vintage), with a slight tannic grip. IMHO needs to relax a few more years to peak , hopefully meshing together and becoming a little more elegant.
