after 5 hours, this mellowed, came together but was still a bit held back. it is really lovely but i felt from all of the stages that i tasted this through , it was not showing itself well at all. it was timid but has back bone. for me, this was at an awkward stage. Considering it's track record, and vintage, this needs to go longer in the cellar. i have 4 more bottles and i wont touch another for about 4 to 5 years. i think it will hit its stride in 8 or so.
i am sure that this will be a beauty when it is at the right point.
don't get me wrong, this was nice, very nice but it is not showing all of it's feathers at the moment
