Saturday, April 10, 2021 - Color: Deep ruby. Nose: Some herbs like menthol and rosemary and some cherries. Oranges, too. A lot going here. Mouth: Definitely cherries in the mix. The tannins are there but they are almost like velvet. Good complexity. Good length. Good expressiveness. Even though this wine almost shows no signs of aging I'm not sure where it is heading to. I think it has plateaued. After a while of breathing there is a slight aroma of malt candy without the sweetness, of course. Perhaps better to drink up in the next 2 years if you are cautious or store some bottles for the next 8 years if you are bold.
