Friday, March 9, 2012 - Initially rather severe, with graphite, polished wood, a grainy tannic palate and not much sign of any trademark feminine elements. Opened gradually in the glass to a vey different, more expressive wine - a nose of red fruits, with warmer notes like raisins, spicy expensive oak and a richer but still firm palate. Serious rather than easy, it needed time and attention to appreciate.
