Friday, March 26, 2021 - Pretty closed upon opening, but opened up after an hour or so. Lovely nuanced nose of leafy tobacco with a distinct elegant herbaceous character. Black fruits and currants on the palate, smokey, with some tertiary notes. Finish is strong, however here some angular tannins show up, implying it’s still on the upswing. Doesn’t have the polish and power of the more vaulted vintages—but shows nice typicity of the estate.
