Sunday, December 9, 2018 - I found aromas of sundried fruit, smoke, and caramel in this Ripasso. The colour was medium (almost deep) ruby with edges tempting orange. It was bold with a bit of tang and nice grip. No obvious fruit flavours stepped forward, but there were hints of ripe black fruit and smoke. It offered a long, enjoyable finish. This was a nice wine reminiscent of an Amarone at an affordable price. I would absolutely buy this again.
