Saturday, December 12, 2020 - I am an avowed hater of Sauvignon Blanc. That said, I love the wines Dan Petroski makes at Massican. Overall I almost like this wine. It does not have the aggressive green notes that I despise in Sauvignon, but it’s still rather astringent on the palate. The fresh acidity, and depth of herbal flavor are very good. Interesting to drink, but still not quite my thing. I will stick with his Hyde Chardonnay which I love, as well as his outstanding white blends.
