Sunday, December 24, 2023 - Certainly the best white wine on the table this evening (had it side by side with Trimbach Grand Cru Geisberg 2014 and William Fevre, 1er Montee de Tonnerre 2020).
Gave it a slow ox for 3 hours in the bottle. Yellow/Golden color. Typical Smaragd notes of ripe yellow fruit. Mid weight palate copies the impression of yellow fruits, esp. pineapple. Good structure and length. Not the fine aromas and structure of the Hirtzberger Hochrain 2015 (at the same price range). Wait 3 years for the next bottle or give it enough air! Don't drink too warm to not let it get too "heavy and thick" 92-93 pts
