Wednesday, April 18, 2018 - Wonderful, full of wine, violets, coffee, spices, berries, especially blackcurrant, blueberries. Perfect balance. In parallel with Chateau Palmer 1986, the best cuvée of Central and Eastern Europe Cuvée Attila 2002 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot) from the Gere Attila winery, Villány, South Hungary was tested. Cuvée Attila is much younger but slightly better in all directions than Chateau Palmer. Yet both wines can be considered remarkable and both can be highly recommended! My ratings Chateau Palmer '86 - 94/100, Cuveé Attila '02 - 97/100. (drink 2018 - 2025)
