Wednesday, August 21, 2019 - At the usual $40 the QPR isn't bad, I've had better Pinot for the price, but it definitely belongs in a group of high-quality wines and it was downright incredible for the $25 bargain bin price I paid at the LA wine house. Leaning toward brighter red fruit, redcurrant, cranberry sauce, a little bit of vanilla oak, and a slightly herbal, earthy nuance that blew off pretty quickly. Soft sweet fruit on the palate at first followed by a wave of brightness, bordering on citrus, and a wonderful wild red mulberry finish. It's not explosively perfumed but gently persistent and really pretty. I liked it much better on day one before the tartness overwhelmed the minerals. If you see it somewhere in the $30 range, it's a fantastic buy.
