Friday, September 29, 2017 - Nose of wet gravel and vanilla cloaking blackcurrant with hints of licquorice, red meat and dried herbs. I also found that for me, it had an overwhelming aroma of burnt rice pudding. Weird!
Palate showed juicy plum, blueberry with some red fruit. All was followed by sweet vanilla and herbs.
A lovely merlot. Good weight and structure. Holds itself well from most angles, tannins will soften more over the next couple of years.
