Sunday, March 7, 2021 - This is very pleasant and in a good spot. Medium red / crimson color, with just a slight touch of light brown on the edge.

Nose is very red fruit based, but there is definitely some nice complexity there. Black cherries, black raspberry, tea, pomegranate propagate the nose. Palate is similar with a bit of complexity and also some earthy and cola notes. Body is medium - a bit heavier than I’d expect at 13.88% abv, and acid is a bit lighter than I’d have expected. Although there is a good long finish, the limited acidity leaves the wine ever so slightly off balance. Minimal tannins.

I’d guess 7-10 years of life left if not more, but definitely drinking well now.
