Sunday, April 26, 2015 - Musty feral aromas at first that dissipate quickly revealing blackberries, kirsch, garrigue, lavender, licorice, black olives, roasted coffee, and black pepper. Delicious on the palate with sweet dark fruit flavors on entry, a reserved midpalate which reveals dark cherries, dark chocolate, licorice, and roasted coffee. The flavors remain seamlessly on the palate to the end where notes of roasted meats, black pepper, coarse rustic tannin's emerge. Very old world in style, quite earthy and slight brett, but still filled with delicious fruit.
