90 Points

Tuesday, November 16, 2010 - Popped with a short decant...pristine looking cork. Dark color with very little bricking, mature red fruits, graphite, cedar, spice. On the palate there large-scaled dark, ripe red fruit, sweet oak, with a rich midpalate, medium acidity and a nice long finish. Still plenary of tannins here but lacking a complexity and still a bit youthful. At almost 20 years the oak still hasn't fully integrated, so I'm not sure if it ever will...perhaps this suffered after tasting the 1982 Mouton before it.
