Saturday, October 18, 2008 - Very nice nose, immediately after first pour, rich and plummy. Surprisingly tight with solid tannins and bright acid. First taste was still closed and needed at least a good 30 minutes to start opening up. Subsequent tasting 6 hours later, the wine emerged full bodied and opulent. Cedar plum jam with long finish and good weight. Extraordinary after 16 years of age, could easily be aged another 3-5 years without any problem, probably up to another 8 before peaking.
