Sunday, November 4, 2018 - Man, ’15 is just not the vintage for me (in Muscadet or Beaujolais). Ripe. This is always a great value and is still a very good wine, but ripe, damn ripe.

    11/5/2018 6:17:00 AM - I so, so agree!! I've had many people disagree with me but these just come off as round, and lacking that razor edge acidity, intensity, and energy that is what I want out of these wines.

    11/6/2018 6:49:00 AM - Yeah, for the most part the even years have been the winners, at least through 08/10/12/14, but '16 was not up to snuff; too dilute. I think the glowing reviews on this wine show that people really do like ripeness in wines more than I do for the most part, but to me muscadet should have only "adequate" ripeness to buffer a very, very high level of acidity. That's what the best Briords bring to the table (not to mention great champagne, Chablis, etc.)
