Saturday, August 6, 2016 - Still deeply coloured. Smoke, tomato leaf, cedar and chocolate. The palate is remarkable youthful still, with good intensity and tannins to burn. Didn't quite live up to expectations though. Probably would have benefitted from a longer decant, or a few more years in the cellar to gain more complexity.

    Personally I suggest if you were to open this today. Double decant it for 18hrs. Just like it's sibling from 1982 this wine is far to young and need time and air. I have a few bottles left and holding on to them for another 5-8yrs
