Sunday, October 9, 2022 - Absolutely delicious example of mature Vouvray sec, that has aged beautifully since my last bottle 5 years ago. In the glass, light gold and , and a nose that develops to show bruised cider apples, waxy lanolin, yeasty dough, quince, saline green olives, and high notes of lemon mousse and gingery melon. On the palate, it is really mouthwatering - quite viscous and rich , with flavours of fresh Granny Smith apples, playing off against the gingery acidity. The finish is long, saline and chalky. Classic Vouvray. I have one remaining bottle to open over the next 5 years!
