Thursday, January 25, 2007 - My first experience with a wine of this type. This wine exhibited a rich maple syrup brown color with caramel tinges. On the nose, there was a little heat but the huge raisin aromas would quickly cover that up followed by traces of brown sugar, cinnamon and hints of fig. On the palate, this wine coated my palate with globs of honeyed raisins, caramel, figs with hints of almonds and vanilla on the tremendously rich finish. Quite delicious and a good QPR. I still prefer in this price range, Yalumba Museum Muscat or Tokay as this was a little less complex than those bottlings. HS91
