Wednesday, January 27, 2016 - A very rich, dense, viscous style; this is a type of wine you either like or hate. Nose of raisins, nuts and figs. Sweet and lush and spectacular in small amounts. Really nice nutty qualities upfront, surrounded by dried fruits (prunes, raisins) and finishing with lots of caramel, butterscotch and almond notes. Lengthy finish. I enjoyed the sweetness, but really think it's the complexity through the middle that makes this wine most interesting.
