Monday, May 29, 2017 - AP 08 16. The nose on this is incredible! Leaps from the glass and shows not only unmistakable 2015 aromatics but unmistakable Himmelreich. I have to say though the nose is the best part of this bottling at this point. After the light, delineated, and gorgeous Sonnenuhr Kabinett, the Himmelreich seems stony, cold, and inaccessible. A little surprising considering how fresh and spectacular the rest of the line is (both horizontally with its sister Kabinetts, but vertically with the Spatlese and Auslese from this vineyard). A decent Prum Kabinett by any other vintage, but a low point among their 2015 offerings.
