Thursday, October 25, 2018 - Very good, even memorable. I found this wine austere, though not minerally like Chablis, but instead with weight concentrated in floral and almond-like flavors. There was not a hint of tropical fruit and only modest lemony brightness. A deft touch of smoky wood added complexity. I didn't find it creamy at all. To me, this was neither Chablis nor Puligny/Chassagne/Meursault, but rather a style all its own.
Tasted at Republique (LA).
