Sunday, April 23, 2023 - Very pale green gold. Nose indistinct. Crushed seashells, dash of salinity, green grass, lime but topped off with residual sweetness. Seems very fine on pnp. Acidity is very restrained, no battery acid here. Is it too laid back? No, it’s really lovely, lime oil, layers of fineness come through. A beautifully poised wine, with subtle facets, refinement and is very good. Different style to normal Aussie Riesling. Day 2, it is excellent, lime pith, faint oiliness and honey, class. Really good Riesling now, would like to keep some back to see how it grows.
